Supporting the APA is a great way to demonstrate your business’s commitment to supporting the growing global community of packrafters. By raising awareness of the American Packrafting Association as a Partner, you can situate your business at the center of the growing intersection of paddling and overland travel. By utilizing their relationship with the APA, businesses can reach a wide audience of packrafting, and backpacking enthusiasts alike, and will join the ever growing network in support of wild and free-flowing rivers and public lands. As part of this support system, you can promote packrafting and the economic and recreational benefits it provides to your community and beyond.

Our Projects

In any given year, your support will help the American Packrafting Association focus on projects ranging from developing safety tutorials to distribute to our membership, to conservation efforts, and outreach to our strong paddling community.

Examples of past projects we’ve worked on are:

  • Successfully hosting annual APA Packraft Roundups with 125+ packrafters each time to celebrate the amazing community of packrafters!
  • Development of multiple safety videos and packrafting instruction curriculums for our membership to promote proper paddling technique and basic swift water safety skills
  • Lobbying in Washington DC with partners Alaska Wilderness League and POW to advocate on behalf of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and raise awareness for the sport of packrafting
  • Drafting of  letters  to officials advocating on behalf of public lands and waterways and advocating for packrafting access on public lands
